Hoaxers are killing celebrities. After Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj, singer Jon Bon Jovi is the latest celebrity to become a casualty of hoaxes spreading on social networking sites Facebook and Twitter.

Here's the misleading news that you might have encountered posted by one of your friends:
Rockstar Jon Bon Jovi (John Francis Bingiovi, Jr) was pronounced dead today afternoon after paramedics found him in coma at his Empress Hotel, city and law enforcement at Asbury Park, NJ sources told The Times after World Christmas Tour Concert on The Bamboozle Festival, North Beach Asbury Park.

New Jersey Fire Department- First Aid Captain Douglas Gray told The Times that paramedics responded to a 911 call from home. When they arrived, Bon Jovi was not breathing.

This message is a rude joke and is not true. It is not yet understood what motivated the scammers behind this hoax news to spread this since it appears that no paid surveys and ads are being associated with this fake news.
