At the top right of your facebook dashboard, click account > privacy settings > Apps and websites > "edit your settings"> Apps you use and then click "Remove unwanted or spammy apps".

You may also want to check your computer for toolbars that you may have downloaded and are causing the issues.

Scammers may also be able to get your crucial personal information that they can use such as your phone number and birthday.
